DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT TO VISIT DAVIDSON JEWELS?

It is best to make an appointment, but you are welcome to drop by our store when we are open. As we are a small company, please understand that there is a chance we will be out of town on business or entertaining appointments, however you are free to browse at your leisure and we will be with you as soon as possible. 

Our hours are:
Tues - Fri: 11 am - 6 pm
Sat: 11 am - 5 pm

If you are interested in designing a custom piece of jewelry but are unable to visit during our opening hours, simply contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

HOW LONG DOES THE CUSTOM DESIGN PROCESS TAKE?

The length of the custom design process depends on the complexity of the design and how many revisions are required. 

In general, it usually takes around 4-6 weeks for a piece of custom jewellery to be crafted, finished, and ready to take home.

That said, we realize that sometimes clients may require items sooner, so we always do our best to work within deadlines. 

Our focus is on quality, not quantity, and we only produce a limited number of pieces each year.

As a result, we are able to spend as long as it takes designing the perfect engagement ring, wedding band, statement ring, necklace, bracelet, pendant, cufflinks or earrings.

ARE ALL OF YOUR DIAMONDS CONFLICT FREE?

Yes. All diamonds purchased from Davidson Jewels are guaranteed to be conflict free. 

We have a zero-tolerance policy towards conflict diamonds. Each of our diamonds is purchased from long-standing legitimate sources that fully comply with UN regulations and the strict ethical standards established by the Kimberly Process.

WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF CHOOSING A GIA CERTIFIED DIAMOND?

We prefer to provide our clients with GIA certified diamonds because a certificate from the Gemological Institute of America provides unmatched assurance of a diamond’s quality and authenticity.

That said, we never, ever purchase a diamond based solely on how it looks on paper (and strongly recommend you do not either).

Diamonds, like people, are natural products with endless variation, and two diamonds with the exact same cut, clarity and color grades can look very different in person. 

This is because Clarity, Cut, and Color grade ranges are in fact just that: ranges.

There are diamonds that fall in the top and the bottom of their grade range, and that can have a big impact on both appearance and value. Diamonds sold online at a "discount" are usually stones at the very bottom of their grade range. 

We hand-select each of our diamonds from a wide pool based on an very stringent set of criteria, and we only choose stones that fall within the top of their grade range. 

This ensures our diamonds always outshine those of the competition. 

I LOVE YOUR WORK. CAN I PURCHASE IT ELSEWHERE?

To ensure the absolute best customer service and maintain the outstanding level of quality for which we are known, Davidson Jewels jewellery is only available through us directly. 

In addition to our own designs, we are the exclusive Canadian distributors of select award-winning jewellery designers such as Niessing and Sara Graham. 

If you are interested in our products, but are not able to visit our store in Calgary, not to worry! 

We work with clients from around the world on a regular basis and would be happy to assist you in finding or designing the perfect engagement ring, wedding band, or piece of fine jewellery. 

CAN I BRING MY OWN STONE?

 We will not set stones that have been purchased from a third party, because we cannot guarantee the quality or origin of stones that we have not personally sourced. Because the satisfaction of our clients is our utmost priority, we will only take on projects that we know we can deliver a superior quality product.

 However, we will consider setting heirloom stones on a case by case basis. Please contact us if you are interested in having an heirloom examined and considered for a setting.

DIAMONDS & GEMSTONE POLICY

Our diamonds and gemstones are carefully hand-selected to meet our exceptionally high quality assurance standards. A certificate from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) accompanies virtually every diamond over .35 carats sold by Davidson Jewels, and we guarantee each diamond will match its certification. 

All diamonds sold by Davidson Jewels are guaranteed certified conflict free. 

Once special order stones have been approved, the purchase for those stones is final and may not be cancelled. Some stones may require payment in full before they can be secured. If a purchased stone does not meet or exceed its certification, we will gladly offer a refund. 

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

Customer satisfaction is a major pillar of our business. We proudly stand behind the design and quality our jewellery, and will make every reasonable effort to ensure our clients are completely satisfied. 

Due to their nature, custom and special orders can not be cancelled, however we will work with each client individually as it is our goal to maintain an excellent relationship with every customer. 

CUSTOM ENGAGEMENT RINGS AND FINE JEWELLERY ORDERS

For all custom pieces, we work closely with our clients to ensure the design is right for them.

When the design is a surprise for the recipient, if they do not love their custom piece, we will gladly revise or redesign it once free of charge within 30 days, excluding (if applicable) the cost for additional stones or materials.
